Sun Mountain Riding Cart Bags
How are they with a pull trolley?

I know that a few of you have SM bags such as the T/C-130 which are designed mainly for ride-on trolleys. Does anyone here use one with a normal non-riding 3-wheel trolley (powered or unpowered)?

If you do, have you had any problems with access because the layout's all wrong?

I have the SM C-130 (or it may be the T-130) and I use it with my Powakaddy.

Stickman uses his on a Sun Mountain Speed Cart.

Just Pured uses his on a Powakaddy.

Thanks for coming back so quickly, Beast - I guess you don't have too many problems then. I hope it wouldn't be excessively heavy with a manual trolley, but then I've survived 7 years with my all-leatherette Macgregor one that weighs an absolute ton, I imagine anything modern will be an improvement!

It's coming down at the moment to a choice between the SM T-130 (@£100), the SM Falcon (£80) - on which I can't find any information at all - and the Mizuno Omega II (£75). If anyone has any experience of either of the last two, I'd be very interested to hear about it.

Can't recommend the Sun Mountain bags highly enough. It's made of lightweight material. Has more storage space than Area 51 and looks good as well.

If you can get it for £100 I would suggest you've found yourself a good deal as the RRP is closer to £130.

Have both the C-130 (or it may be the T-130) and the SM Speed Cart and think both are the best ever.

Sorry Beast I copied your bit as both of mine are down at the club.

SM T-130 best bag made hands down IMO...mines 2 yrs old and gets heavy use and its still going strong.

Just got the SM C-130 bag. Used in on the pushcart no problems. C-130 by far has the most features for it's price and is a durable lightweight bag. What I als o like is the huge insulated pocket. Can filll with more than enough beer for a round. I was unsure about buying it until two of the employees stated they have had many different bags and bought this one for themselves based on its past history. That definitely closed the sale. They stated its the best bag at a price quite cheaper than similar name brand models priced much higher. Green  and fairways !

Another here with a T-130 on an S1. A great bag, with 14 hole dividers and putter well. Sometimes it holds too much, as I will fill it up and make the bag way too heavy. On thing i have had to do is to proof the bag as it leaked through the zips in the heavy rain. A dose of Fabsil spray made it totally waterproof.

I've been using a T130 for a few years now and can only echo the comments above.

A couple of things to check..The older T130 had small feet around the bottom rim of the bag, meaning it didn't fit trolleys too well. The newer ones have 4 feet very like the Powakaddy ones..and funnily enough are exactly the same width, so they fit the Powakaddy base!

They aren't particularly waterproof and one real bug-bear is that when on a trolley, the zips on the hood face toward the sky (as they're designed for a cart) meaning it is next to impossible to keep your clubs dry in a heavy downpour!

Mine is now..

So how did you get the zips to point downwards..as on mine, if I try to reverse the hood, the push studs do not line up?

Sorry JC, I mean mine is waterproof now I have sprayed it with Fabsil. The bag sits the same as yours, so the headcover isn't ideal.
