Looks like Callaway have failed to take the honours off Mizuno, so far.

When is the Cobra SZ released & will it be an improvement on the 370/430 SS? --- if so will it be the driver of 2004?

You would never catch me spending that much on a golf club.

Just as well my wife got it for me as an Xmas present (not that she would spend that much either, I bought it for her "for me" and did not tell her the price!!).

I love mine, except today when it managed to lose half a dozen new Callaway balls......Way right into the bushes!!

I've just picked up my new SMT455 titanium headed goliath shafted with a rifle steel all the princly sum of £100 for current technology. Had we lived in the US this fee would have been much lower.

The pro who built it said that the quality was superb and if it was emblazened with the Callaway et all brands then expect to pay £300 notes, it really does look that good.

£449 pounds for a driver that may or may not give me an extra 5 yards!! I think not.....

It will give you at least an extra 5 yds.....They may just be further into the bushes (or in my case over the bushes and onto the next fairway).

Alan have read some reviews on the Cobras and apparently they hit the ball miles and very forgiving so they may well be.Only downside is they have a high hanging flight which may cause some problems in the wind. Srixon is still the number 1 in my book!

Nick,

I saw a couple of posts from you asking about the Srixon. I assume you ended up buying one. I would be interested in hearing your initial impression of it given the rave reviews.

Alan,
The SZ is out NOW!!!!
One of my partners plays the SS370 (as do I) he went to the range this evening and I got a call going up to eight... He's bought the SZ400, it's THAT much better. Or at least that's what he says (he's a bit of a club ho!) I'll be having a 'twat' with it this week so I'll post a review on it.
Cheap as well... though I think I may wait and see how it goes against the new Nike Ignite (.89 C.O.R) before I made that jump ;-)

Tried a new SZ400, wasn't really all that impressed. Found that after half a dozen shots something came loose in the head. Therefore I spent my money on a MP001.
