Hello, Anybody come across the Ram QUB3? Does it go long and straight as claimed? Is is a bargain at £99?
Im currently using an old Callaway Big Bertha Warbird 10, presume it will be longer and straighter than this?

Hi Steve, I recently had a go with one of the Qub3, but it wasn’t for me!! I really struggled to get the ball airborne even with a 10.5 degree loft!!!! It does look good and the shaft and grip are both good quality (golf pride and aldila I think!) and it doesn’t make as much noise of as the Sumo, I have seen them for £89 on some sites, but my advice would be go to a pro shop/golf outlet and have a go with one!!!

Steve, Have a look at Direct golf, they currently have an R7 for £150, I know it’s a little bit more than the others, but IMO it is a far better driver(and not because it’s a Taylor made driver, I use RAM fairway woods and FX9 irons) I have just got a superquad and absolutely love it, but had this deal been available when I was looking I would have gone with the normal R7.

I received my Hex yesterday. Only boughtit because it was offered to me at a bargain price that I could not refuse. Have read the threads on this forum as to higher lofts helping to kill a slice so have it in the 12 degree with a regular flex shaft. Have taken it out for 9 holes this morning and was pretty impressed. Certainly was straight and whilst it not impossible to slice the ball, any such shots were far less pronounced than the big bannana slice I sometimes get off my normal driver. There was some loss of distance at first but this was until I realised that I really good take a good swing at the ball with no adverse affects. I used to treat my driver with caution as trying to welly the ball too much produced the aforementioned bannana shot but not with the Hex. I am still keeping the old driver (R7 460) as I think that this will be the better club for me in the long run but whilst I am still taking lessons and learning, the Hex gives me that bit more confidence on the tee.

Had a go with the QUB3 and was impressed.

Seemed to straighten out my small slice and travel pretty well BUT I wouldn't buy one as there was no feel.

I use my Cobra SS and can feel the ball off the club with the Ram, nothing !

Will do a good job for lots of people at a bargain price but I am not one of them.

Ram Qub3, 12 deg, love it. Never been straighter in my life. Or longer.

But, the head cover is perhaps the most repulsive piece of golf equipment I have ever seen.
