Does anyone have experience of these clubs ?

I'm considering a used starter Hyperspeed set & would like to know if they're any good for a returner / improver ?

Honestly dont bother, get seperate irons driver and hybrid, second hand is best. the hyperspeed is rubbish, try someone like MD golf blackhawk or benross combo. Or consider second hand irons 5-pw and a hybrid, a driver and 3 wood. Sure the guys on here would agree and recomend some products.

Agree with MD golf as a suggestion. Blackhawks are superb. Also look at EQL hybrids. Direcftgolf are selling Mizuno MX-15 for £179.00 which are also worth a look.

Ian,

what are your aims ? Do you want to have a knock about every now and again or are you getting into the game with the intention of developing ?

How much are they ?

From personal experience - I bought a Wilson full set when I started because I didn't want to pay out a fortune and end up not liking the game. They did me 2 years and where absolutely fine. Obviously as I caught the bug I have upgraded and the Wilson's are in the garage.

If they are a bargain they will be fine to start with but if like me you get hooked you WILL be replacing them in time.

Thanks for all your info.

I'll probably be playing weekly, with a few visits to the local driving range, until I get up to speed again (last played 20+ years ago....).

So maybe a secondhand set (Wilson, Ram, Hippo, etc) to start with, then upgrade to better quality / custom fit clubs in due course.

If you are looking at Hippo, try the OS4 set, I started out with those and loved them. The quality is surprisingly good for the price and they are still being used by a mate of mine.
