"Out of this World" Must be a small World you live in! Why oh why would anybody want to but any Slazenger equipment. Slazenger golf is owned by JJB who bought the brand name a couple of years ago. It's all Chinese made tat that I would not use if given to me for free. You may as well go and buy the KI Speed as Sam says it's the best driver in the World but I have not seen a lot of Pro's using them on tour. I will probably get slated by all the K1 Speed, Big Ezee, Perfect Club and FAST Iron users but I hate the stuff and the adverts.

A guy I know played in a pro am recently and said Kenny Dalglish was there. Strangely he wasn't using any Slazenger gear, he had all Taylormade gear. I am sure he simply forgot to bring his top of the range slazenger stuff. Seriously though you get what you pay for and slazenger is crap.

What an excellent response to a fist time poster Frogmella; though I can't actually see where he asked for anyone's opinion of Slazenger clubs. I'm sure he'll be right back on the forum next time he wants advice. It really doen't matter what we all think of Slazenger clubs if it works for him. So, to answer the original question; your local JJB (or you could ask your friend where he got his).

it is indeed strange how times change - 20 years ago Slazenger were turning out irons like these : Seve Ballesteros blades now if you were to stick a Mizuno logo across those people on here would be tugging their todger about how wonderful they look and waxing lyrical the benefits of blades sadly Slazenger have moved in a downward spiral , the gear does look like tat , it's no doubt made in China {but feck me what isn't these days ?!!!} , the advertising leaves much to be desired - it is however budget gear aimed at the budget end of the market - if it does the job as a starter set for somebody new to the game then it serves the purpose "Strangely he wasn't using any Slazenger gear, he had all Taylormade gear" on the tat stakes Slazenger to Taylor Made is about one notch further up the scale , isn't it ? -

He did not ask but its all about opinions and I gave mine. But I would steer him away from any Slazenger tat, far far better gear out there for a lot less money. I hope the first time poster can read between the lines and see what I said was light hearted and is not as up himself as you.

I bought a set of Slazenger Seve Signature blades - lovely chrome finish etc, shame the face finish wore after not that many rounds! Shame that Slazenger are trading crap based on old glories and new endorsements (from people who wouldn't swing one of those clubs unless a camera was turning and £'s dropping into their bank accounts!) Phil - if you don't manage to turn up one those Slazengers, try the Ben Sayers M1 - even amongst the various offset drivers I've used (including expensive Cobra M-Speed, SMT Nemesis with GD YS6+ shaft), that BS M1 was the most slice proof and cost me £25 brand new from American Golf. Check out the many user reviews on this site for the M1.

I've got a Slazenger XTC2 driver i'll sell you for £40. It's only been used for 2 rounds of golf.

i had slazenger stuff when i started it done me fine to "see if i could get back into it" when i reached a pretty good level these clubs held me back 24H, went and invested in a secondhand set of callaway X14 and havnt looked back since now hitting in the 80's if can afford to i would steer clear go for second hand good stuff if you have too!

So what ones are good Oliver

Actually there's not a lot wrong with the Slazzy hybrid my mum (gawd love her) bought me last Christmas. Pretty much the same design as a TM Rescue Mid. Certainly nothing special, but not unusable cr@p either.

May I state the obvious - if you constantly slice with your driver your money would be better spent on a lesson.

Oi dont be slagging King Kenny off

I'm sure this has been covered off many times... But as we're talking Slazenger. A mate of mine bought a K1 last year and the noise in makes sounds like he's tee-ing off using a frying pan! He seems to hit it pretty straight but not with much distance... I'm glad they never chose him to try driving the 10th at the Belfry!

Phil, The 'anti-slice' bit is just offset, there are other clubs to try and I agree with Andrew, the Ben Sayers M1 is a much better club than the Slazenger. Just buy a driver that is draw weighted and has offset ps I used Seve blades in 1981, bvery similar to modern Titleist 690s, lovely irons, played my best golf with those.
