i was looking for another pair of these when mines wore out, and american golf BS'ed me as well, saying "hi tec have never made a half size." condescending turd, considering i could see several half sizes at arms length from me.
i refuse to believe these guys in AGD are that.. thick. they must have little bets going on, who can get a customer to believe the biggest amount of crud. neeless to say when i heard that, i replaced all the other stuff i was going to buy. not a lot, but theres no way i could be forced to spend another penny in that place. the people that work there really are thick and/or bitter. perhaps they failed the aptitude test for the mars bar selling job at the local muni.
those hi tec shoes were bloody good, i was gutted i had to replace them, and when i found they didnt make them anymore i was a bit pissed. hi tecs first good shoe and they stopped making them. the new ones dont have a patch on the old ones. same old hi-tec.
ended up with nike sp-somethings(8 II?).. extremely comfortable with the air cushion etc, and fit perfectly (stretched to fit very quickly), didnt even need a wide of half size, something ive needed in every other specialty shoe (golf, football boot, etc). you might want to give them a try if youre stuck.
