Having worn a couple of holes in the original headcover of my Odyssey DF552 pride and joy and picked up a couple of dings in the bronze heel from other clubs in the bag I decided to buy a new protector. Direct golf sold a variety of plastic or fake fur ones that I didn't like the look of. They also had a lightweight neoprene (wetsuit material) one @£4-99 by a company called Coverupz.
It is superb, it is not bulky and you can stuff it in your pocket when going up to putt. it also covers the whole of the head and hozel and is also easy to fit and remove.
They also do head covers for woods and irons, has anyone else heard of them?

Not on the user review at present as there is no brand but you can see range on www.coverupz.com

I posted twice before about coverupz. I got a set of iron covers and they are superb, very well made and look rather cool compared to the bog standard covers.

Just checked the thread -'Cover my sticks' and so you did Harry

Wish I'd have paid more attention but not a big fan of iron headcovers.
Didn't think about checking them out for putter covers.

You said they would last as long as the irons - how tough is this neoprene stuff?
The original Odyssey cover was a similar material but with a soft plastic outer layer which eventually split.

My 2-ball putter cover is falling to bits, and I've been looking for a replacement; these look really good. I might get one for my Adams 3-wood too; it came with a real crappy cover from County golf.

My standard 2 ball cover is a pain in the arse, never seems to stay on properly and is a pain to put on.

Serves you both right for using such ugly putters

: o )

The Odyssey 2-ball is an object of beauty and elegance! Worthy to be seen in all upmarket courses!!!!

(I didn't like your black DFX though Chris; my white one is much nicer!)

It didn't work on Saturday though. My putting was dreadful!!!

(I still got 5 more points than on Thursday though!)

OK - update Coverupz putter head cover is being returned to store (Direct Golf)

Crap - The Velcro no longer grips and there is already a split in the fabric.

Neoprene may be great for frogmen but it's not tough enough to endure the ripping on and off at each green.

I'll try a leather one next.
