with the sweetspot of modern drivers being higher in the face than ever before it means that if you are hitting the ball out of the sweetspot, (even sweeping it) there is a considerable amount of the face below that point which will contact the tee, travelling at upwards of 90 mph. it therefore stands to reason that a well struck shot would result in substantial damage to a little wooden tee.
the other thing to bear in mind is that they are simply not engineered to last, especially the cheap ones.
I bought a couple of these packs for me and my golfing chums.
At the price we paid we are certainly not going to complain about them breaking. If we did not break them as easily as we do sometimes then it would hardly be worth buying such a quantity. Buy plastic instead!
Excellent value and surely 'everyone loves a bargain'.
I did like the fact thaqt they are white and do not mark the sole of the clubs as much as the colured ones. I prefer wood anyway as I believe they are more environmentally friendly
one of the chaps i play with always carries a pencil sharpener,so any(long)broken ones he comes across he just sharpens them up and puts them in his bag to be used on another occasion, must admit its one way of being environmentally friendly.
