Hi guys, just re - gripped my first club today which went better and easier than I had envisaged. Bought some Sharpro grips and tape from Gamola, white spirit from B@Q an hey presto. Trying some midsize grips due to large hands and will see how we get on. Many thanks to all you guys who chipped in with advice on how it should be done and little tips to make it easier-----much appreciated

Well done Stevie that's how I started - a word of advice ... ..... do the rest - then leave it at just re-gripping

Taz is right. You'll heading towards the dark side and there's no escape unless you turn back now!

As a golf partner said to me last Friday, "You know when someone is really getting into their golf when they start dicking around with their clubs".

"I cant believe it" I have just successfully re-gripped my first club too. After reading the blogs, THANKs for the tip about white spirit! I also bought from Gamola "Karakal X-tack" Wonderful grips for the price. Has a nice soft feel to them, cant go wrong. But on a down side, just found out that my TM rescue dual utility is a FAKE! Hmmmm!! Now I'm getting itchy fingers to try re-shaft my Driver (R7). Anybody with any experience? is it as easy as re-grip or is there more to it?

Stevie, I have the Sharpro midsize grips and they are great. Built for man size hands like ours

Another user of the Sharpro midsize here. Lime green version Lovely grip, great price. Now not too sure about the colour... But hey, why not. Re-gripped my putter (with a Winn jobby) today after lopping a couple of inches off. First time I had attempted re-gripping and it was a piece of piss. Spent a couple of minutes afterwards ensuring the grip was aligned properly but that was it. No other hassle at all. Can't believe I paid to get em done previously! Come on folks - give it a go!

Me... I'm a chicken.. or a lazy git. Read all the tips from Gamola.. re-read them..... and went off to my local pro and he done them for me.

As Taz hints I am well and truly down the path. Started re-gripping couple of years back. Now I have shortened, lengthened and changed shafts. Changing shafts is pretty easy as well (if you want to go there). My latest 'tinker' is lead tape on the putter. Never happy unless I am doing something about once a month!
