I got a list of stuff needed to survive trip to the frozen waste's!  1: Ginger clown wig. 2: A dozen cans of tenants super strenth. 3: A set of bagpipes. 4: A weeks supply o' Haggis, Tatties an' Neeps. All I need now is to borrow Chris Curry's Snazzy Tartan cap and the job's a good un'. I'll fit in "nae prolem"

Tim

What is wrong with Irn Bru.  I have a Pint with NO ICE every time I go into the 19th.

John, each to their own and all that but I'm afraid I find Irn Bru undrinkable - with or without ice.

It's great with Vodka.

It is a long way North, especially for an Englishman when we lose at Rugby

John - I use the MB5002 - same s the MB5003 except they have a hard chrome finish. Anyone thinking of taking the plunge should not be put off by the thin top line as they are very forgiving, yes I know they don't look like it but they are definitely some of the most forgiving irons I have hit. The biggest difference they made to me was distance control, I might not be straight all the time but always pin high !!

Blades are suprisigly easy to hit, heel to toe they are the same dimensions as most of the  so-called game improvement clubs.  Only real difference being the size of the sole and the top-line.  Hitting area is exactly the same.

I think blades will make a comeback this year.

Along with smaller headed drivers - 400-420cc.   I've gone to a 420 Nakashima NP-1 and it's a lot better suited to my eye and desired shot.

John - was looking at the NP1, I have the hybrid, what is it like distance wise and what would you compare it to - sound off the face etc??

Hi Geldap,

If I can help with the answer?

testing wise the NP-1 420 is coming out with higher ball speed and less spin than the other Nakashima Drivers we have.  Because the head size is more compact the titanium is thicker around the crown. This brings the  C.O.G up slightly and the sound is less tinny and the feel is more solid.  The Accra XC-65 seems to be the best fitting shaft for most decent golfers.  The Matrix Ozik F7M2 produces the best results but it's also the most expensive.

Don't forget your passport or else you'll never get out again.....they'll have you wearing a skirt and drinking Irn Bru before you know it!

and you'll come out a real man!

Blades are easy to hit are they? And they are gonna make a big comeback this year? Yeah right.

Had a bad day on the course?

We'll see.  Callaway have already started the trend with their first blade.

I did say 'suprisingly'

they are obviously not as easy to hit as a big bertha, but the modern blades are easier to hit than most believe. This was the point i was trying to make.

Now I can't choose between the Miura Tournament Blade and the Yururi's Prototype satin blades!

Trying to summarize pro's and "cons"

Miura:
pro: 2-iron available, well established reputation
con: less exclusive than the Yururi's

Yururi:
pro: lower loft (without adjustments) which would suit my high launch swing, very exclusive (limited to 75 sets a year), more similar to my MP-33 which muscleback design I've always loved.
con: no 2-iron, never heard about them until recently

On top of that, I like the TT DGS300 shafts, but I hear great things on the TT Tour Concept S3 shafts. What do do........?

Any comments on the playability? Miura's seem to be good, John how do the Yururi's play? Still ok, distance ok? Can they be used as the main golf set or more as a nice to have (don't bother about your score) golf set?
