The i601's are big, chunky, GI clubs. I've not hit any, but if you're after ease of use, and a high ball flight, they'd be worth a look.
I very. very nearly bought a set of 701's last month. They look lovely, have a solid yet soft feel, and offer a nice mid flight. They were only just edged out by a set of mizuno's, and even then the fact that I was offered a very good deal on the mizuno's played a part in the decision.
I know you say you're 10 hcap, but what are your strengths and weaknesses. I'm off 14 (with a rule 19 cut imminent, I'd say) but I'm a cleaner and longer hitter than most high sf players. But I can't putt for toffee, and my short game is indifferent.
If you think your ball-striking is a strength, then have a look at something like the Mizuno MP57's, the Ping i10's, Wilson Pi7's (a very underrated club) or R7 TP's.
However, if you make your score on and around the greens, look for something with a bigger cavity and more offset: Ping G10's, Callaway X20's, Taylormade R7's and Nike Slingshots spring to mind.
Go to a good shop/range where you can demo a 6 iron in at least half a dozen clubs, and see what you prefer. Remember to get custom fitted too.
good luck!
