Why do the TP's have FW after the number?

Just wondering?

Thought it might mean fairway but the rescue fairways have fairway on them instead of Mid.

Any ideas?

Could it mean Fairway wood? Just aguess!

It'd be better if it said FTW.

I still currently play the Rescue Mid TP and from what I can remember the TP version is .5 inch longer than the regular Mid. Distance wise it plays a lot like a fairway wood and with the TP having a higher center of gravity, TaylorMade had to differentiate between the 2 models as not to confuse anybody, hence the addition of FW.

Taylormade do a Rescue Iron AND a Rescue Fairway wood. They are not the same.

A friend of mine has the Fairway Wood version and likes it alot, unlike most 3 woods it hits the ball very high but not as far as you wood hope.

I think what you are looking at is the Rescue Fairway Wood TP model. If you want the hybrid iron this is not the club.

Hope this helps.

This might help. The Rescue Mid & Mid TP are the same club with the exception of the higher center of gravity of the TP (gives you lower ball flight). The Fairway wood has a longer shaft and completely different head.
