Cheers, MT, better get the card warmed up, then!

OK, had my first problem with the trolley over the weekend - the top (plastic) bag holder snapped in half on the 16th! Pain in the butt... However I phoned them up on Tuesday afternoon and had a replacement part delivered before 12 on Wednesday - excellent customer service and no problem to deal with at all. If thsi is as bad as it gets, I'm a happy (monkey) man!

I'm 52 and 30 years of football has taken it's toll on my knees and ankles. I have just succumbed to a leccy trolley and after reading the great reviews on here, and studying their website decided to invest in a GoKart. It arrived on Monday and it really does look a great piece of kit for the money. £199.99 including a handy storage case (normally £22.00 but included free on orders up until Christmas) and that price included next day delivery too.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but am looking forward to giving it a test run fairly soon. I can't believe how small it is when folded away, it will take up hardly any room in the boot of the car.

I have always carried before now, it just felt like the right thing to do. Half the pleasure of golf to me is taking in my surroundings and even when playing abroad in blistering heat I declined the offers of half shares in buggies because I would rather walk the course and "smell the roses". But I played at a local course the other week and the going was a bit wet (read boggy) in places and although I started quite well (18 points on front nine) towards the end of the round I was spraying shots all over the place. The only reason for this was that my knees and ankles were really giving me grief. Ended up with 13 points coming in which cheesed me right off. I took two points off the last four holes, blobbing two of them. It was as I walked off the 18th green that I finally made my mind up to go electric and take some of the hard work out of playing.

No doubt in the Summer when the fairways are nice and springy I will carry now and again. But the majority of my golf is now going to be accompanied by the hum of the GoKart.
