So, went into the shop yesterday evening to try out some new putters, thinking that the difference between a sub £100 putter and a £200 putter would be marginal or minimal, but how wrong i was.
For some reason every putter that i picked up that felt really good and solid in my hands and when making putts, had a £200 price tag!!! It only now that i realise that there IS a major difference in putters priced below £100 and putters priced around the £160 - £200.
Yesterday evening, i went into the shop with a view to buying the Ping anser karsten at a sensible price of £60. But now that i've putted with the Ping redwood, Odyssey black series and (now my favourite of them all) the Scotty studio newport 2.0... how can i, firstly, go back to my Odyssey 'fang' putter and how can i NOT buy a scotty, knowing that if i settle for anything other than the scotty, then the doubt will always be in the back of my mind!
Why did i have to try those expensive putters... and more importantly, how am i going to afford one!
