Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these shafts in either a driver or fairway wood and what their feedback is?

I have a TP 7 x in a 3 wood, lovely shaft , has lowered the ball flight and increased distance.

I also have the Altus Hybrid in a Titleist rescue and agin love it, would highly recommend them, but they are generally more expensive than the others.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate that they are more expensive than other shafts but I don't mind paying more for something if I'm going to enjoy it or feel there is a benefit.

It's just on this site there are people that seem to knock the high end products (I'm sure without any knowledge or experience of them) and it's all about how cheap they can get something for!

Possibly the best shafts in the world.

As with any shaft, if they match your swing characteristics then it may be the shaft for you. Very tight quality control, up there with Fuji, Accra, UST PF, Diamana's, Harrison, Grafalloy, GD, and others I am sure. It is not the universal panacea that some forums would have you believe it is, and I have seen it become an expensive mistake for a lot of people and it ends up in the b/s/t and ebay all too often.

I have alas never got to play one...yet.... - was mis sold one recently but im on the look out for a rare specific spec Ozik, which should suit my game after alot of research

As RGJUSA says, alot of peeps make very expensive mistakes buying them and getting something which doesnt suit. They are famous for launching HIGH for flex with low spin, so high in fact, that it can freak peeps out. Getting them matched with correct tipping to the correct loft and spin characteristics of the head is VITAL. You can get lucky im sure but there are LOT of disgruntled 'Playas' on US forums, who are not happy bunnies. So be careful particularly when buying a pull S/H shaft.

I have Matrix shafts in all of my clubs now.  And can recommend the Altus Hybrid. It is a lottery if you have not hit them but someone always wins on the Lottery (eventually) Its a Rollover this Saturday.

a collegue has the ozik matrix in his epon driver, it is superb, even to look at with quality of workmanship looks amazing, and goes some as well.

I always liked a lighter shaft in the driver so went for the Ozik Xcon 5 firm shaft in a taylor made r7 shallow tour head. Fantastic shaft if you are a swinger rather than a hitter. Also use a stiff Altus in my nak hybrid. I have tried a lot of shafts over the years and these are quite simply the best, just do the research to get the right shaft for you.

Hey guys just wanted to come back following my session at Precision.

I have to say both Simon and James are first class, very knowledgable, easy to talk to and are really keen to ensure that they get it right.  To cut a long story short I/we went for the xcon 7 in my Tour Burner and I took it out yesterday; results were very impressive and despite a very strong wind the ball flight was pretty much what Simon said it would be.

The shaft was 'Pured' and I watched as James did this and talked me through the process. It was not 'spined & flowed' whatever that is but having seen several posts about it I suggest you get down to Precision Golf and treat your clubs to this process - they know what they're doing!

No they're not the cheapest but you get what you pay for, the service is first class and if there's any problems they want to hear about it. Sure you can buy a set of clubs from ebay and for many they'll be fine - me, well I'll leave it to the professionals thanks!!
