As said in a previous post i was looking to upgrade from my Ram graphite shafts to a set of steel irons. I originally tryed some different makes of irons up american golf and found i got on pretty well with the Callaway X20's.

After getting advice from some people off here was going to get some fitted clubs by a profesional, but things changed the other day.

I went on american golf website the other day and noticed that they had changed/updated there website. I looked at the Callaway X20's and to my amazement they were advertised at £336! Yet 3 weeks ago in the shop were advertised for £459! I rang up my local amercian golf shop and asked if this was the right price and could i pick them up from them. The shop assistant went away and came back and said no they are still £459 yet i claimed they were advertised at £336 on there website.

The shop assistant went on to say "yes but if you buy them from the shop you get personal fitting advice from a pro etc........" Yet my reply was "theres over £100 difference" plus i know there personal fitting isnt all that. Anyway the shop assistant said the manager wasnt in so call back tommorow.

Thinking that there seemed to be a mistake i decided to add the clubs to my shopping basket. I went back on the website the next day and low and behold they back advertised as £459 after realising they made a mistake! But luckly for me they were still in my shopping basket, so i ordered them online.

Clubs arrived this morning 4-sw steel x20's for a total of £336! What a bargain well chuffed!

But can you hit them on a golf course ?

Bargain price, and best to buy them from a shop as there are so many coppies being sold on auction sites.

Cheers guys, had a quick play with them this morning up the driving range and was pleased with the early results was hitting the ball out the sweet spot and only had a couple of duff shots yet they went straight. Hopefully will be playing my 1st round with these on Friday afternoon so hopefully will play ok with them. I dont expect to be a big change as i need to get use to them, but am looking foward to playing as always!
