Well, after my thread last week about "what £100 putter", lucky me gets an Odyssey White Hot putter as a thankyou gift at the weekend. Used it yesterday and it's nice. A bit more weight than my previous putter and it seems to put well. Time will tell though. Only thing i'm not sure of though is, what the hell is the poker chip in the head cover for? I'm guessing maybe a target for practicing putting?

I'd guess it's probably for use as a ball marker.

Yes, a ball marker. It is huge though. You need to have a smaller one in your pocket as well as there is no way it should be left near the hole whilst others are putting.

It would skim nicely if you took it to the seaside and played ducks and drakes. I have one too (from my Rossie - which model do you have, Slugger?), and only keep it because I understand it enhances resale value should I ever choose to trade in. It has led to the silly situation of me using a generic head cover because I leave the proper Odyssey h/c an chip at home for safe keeping!

Just tell everyone its your "gimee" measurer

i've got the white hot xg #8 It's got a nice feel off the face. firm, yet cushioned, if you know what i mean. Threeputter, we don't give each other gimee's! every ball goes in the cup, no matter how close you are. Helps with the putting
