Two choices as i'm a high handicapper, Ben Sayers M1 Irons at £149.99 or the MD Superstrong Tungsten Ti Irons at £175.00, really not sure which to buy, tried both & dont know which ones will be the better long term till my handicap falls , also just out of interest what handicap do you need to be classed as a mid handicapper, sorry I ask silly questions but im learning slowly lol

MD Superstrong all day long! Ben Sayers aren''t bad clubs though.

Before you pull the trigger,

did you try the Superstrong Ti Mk2 or Mk1, both are very good clubs but be a touch careful matching the set you tried to whats on ebay for sale.

Gary, go to most golf clubs and have a look at the canny old fellas who play off somewhere around 15-20. A sizeable portion of them will be playing clubs that people here would tell them are dead wrong - because they're 25-year-old blades, because they're some unfashionable make like Petrons or Hippos, because the grips are shot and they're all bent out of lie. They manage to knock it round - so don't worry about which of two perfectly good sets you buy. Get the ones you like the feel of, or if that's equal then the ones you like the look of. If you're still tied then get the MDs. No particular reason, but you obviously need some help with the decision-making process

Irons are a personal thing. I have the Mk1 Tungsten ti irons and they are superb... for me. They're a bargain at £180, but only if you're able to hit them.

Im a similar level and find I've never played better than with the 20 odd year  old set of Ping Eye 2s I got recently after trying them out for about 4 days. I wouldn't dissmiss any club without trying it properly first...

just my two penneth.
