Will I loose distance?

It's the conforming model with the lines right in the middle.

I think the XD is a bit more forgiving than the original 580.

I previously played a R580XD and no other driver came close distance and even forgiveness wise. It was almost impossible to mishit, even on an off day. I wish I could say the same for the other 13 clubs! I have always used TM drivers and earlier this year, I tried the R7 425 and 460 models. Nice enough but not a patch on the R580 XD. However, I have since bought a R7 Superquad, replaced the shaft with an Aldila NV 65 and boy does it go! Maybe not quite as fogiving as the R580 XD, but for me, it seems to produce a much more penetrating flight and when flushed, goes yards passed the R580 XD!

The old 580XD is the baby I miss the most! I've also tried a number of different drivers and can't dind one that's anywhere as long or as forgiving!

I'm currently using a Ben sayers Benny (Graf Prolaunch Red shaft) and for £99 it is pretty good and I've got it going pretty well - not in the same league as the old 580XD but a good club at a very good price.

I used my brothers new Taylormade Burner today with a stiff shift, much better! With the R580, I wasn't always hitting straight, some of them would tend to hook to the left slightly. I had a feeling that this might be due to the shaft being too flexy, and I think it was.

I'll need to upgrade to a new club with a stiffer shaft soon. But yea, I agree, it doesn't feel as forgiving as the R580, but it's just as long.
