I'm looking at possibly buying a new set of irons.  I currently have some Macgregor M455's and they are a great set of clubs but I want to move up and get some irons with smaller heads.

I'm looking at Macgregor MT but they are a little expensive when you can find them. Why is Macgregor equipment so hard to find?  What I really want to know is, can you buy single irons. This would allow me to say buy 1 a month and it would also save me from buying irons I don't use i only need pw,9,8,7,6 and maybe a 5.

I think if you go to a Macgregor stockist you can just buy the irons you want eg 5-pw. You definitely can with Wilson and cobra as i have enquired with my pro. Not sure if you could buy one a month though. Where abouts in the UK are you?

Try titleist or Ping you can get fitted (do this if nothing else!) and you can order 1 at a time.,

Mizuno have started going down this route with their new range of Irons too, It works out at around £100 an Iron, So not Cheap but then you do end up with just what you need!
