Finally got around to buying myself a new stick, been hit and miss lately with my old Titleist 983K with grafaloy blue stiff shaft

so on my day off i popped upto Johnny Reay's before my game at Coventry Hersall Today (Thursday 9th oct, great sunny day)

ive already tried the Burner and the G10 along with the new Cobra stuff , so today i tried the Nike Sumo 5000 and the Yonex, had to say 1st impressions the Nike was gonna be favourite b4 id hit any having had a Ignite 410+ but wow the Yonex sounded great and was very controllable so quick purchase and off we go to Hersall

well i have to say it goes better on the course than the range, i hit 2 balls on most tee's and ive never hit the ball so close to each other with a good to average strike

i purchased the 9 degree - stiff nanospeed 70+ shaft jobbie - £195 (golfbidder £179)

money well spent !! anyone else had good thoughts on the YONEX ??

happy golfing

I recently saw a trick shot show at my club featuring Paul Barrington, a long drive specialist. He used a Nano (xx stiff & 8.5 degrees I think). He crushed the ball; my sunday best shot is about 250 yards. At 250 I reckon his ball is still rising! Anyways I thought it was a smart looking club and not a bad price either. Happy golfing backatcha.

Have the Yonex Cyberstar 9% regular, which is a generation before the Nanospeed. Am thinking of replacing this early next year with the Nanospeed. I've never hit a ball with it but just swinging the club the swingweight seems quite low (i.e. Light),is this so?

I.e, did it feel lighter than the G 10?

im not sure about the lightness, i tried the G10 a few weeks back

this just felt solid i hit the 1st ball and bingo pretty much sold "in the hitting area"

That Yonex would need to be a stiff shaft because the regular is as flexy as cooked spaghetti!!

its got a dual kick shaft so proberly gives a little more flex, i bought the stiff i like the head id prefer a ust stiff or gravaloy blue to be fair but they dont do it
