Can anyone recommend a good Ping custome fitter in the North West (Cheshire / Mersey area)

I am a 28 handicapper looking to make a first serious investment in some Ping custome fitted irons.

I've read good things about the G2 irons and like the idea of incorporating some G2 HL's into the set.

Any advice much appreciated!

Thanks

The Ping web site will normally give details of your nearest fitting centre...however this section is currently not available (just had a look).

Next best thing is to give Ping at Gainsborough GC a call. The new fitting centre there has just been opened and probebly is the best place to go when spending this much on new clubs.

Try Graham Tonge at Frodsham Golf club, he stocked Ping the last time i saw him.

Thanks for the help guys.

I've spoken to Ping and they only open midweek so it will be very difficult for me to get down there in the next 6 - 10 weeks or so.

I have made an appointment at American Golf Discount in Warrington. They are Ping approved, they have the fitting cart and they have a range as well. Will probably take my old Mizuno's as trade in as well.

Would normally shy away from AGD, but if they have the full cart (and i am left handed so anywhere without the cart would be impractical) and i can hit balls out in the open then hopefully i should be OK.

Cheers.

I'd go with gegolf.co.uk as well. Based at west lancs in crosby, they are selling g2 irons for £499 (cheapest by £50 on pricerunner). I bought a set of mizuno's there and they incorporated a clk rescue club into the set for me, so what you're after won't be a problem. They have a full practice ground and you can hit off mats or grass to get a proper feel for the clubs you're buying. Also you'll be dealing with a pro, not a shop assistant. (they also do part exchange). Just ring the number on the website and they'll book you in for a custom fit session. (they did this for me).
Can't recommend them highly enough.
