Ok im sold on Footjoys! So where is the best place (by that I mean cheapest ) to buy them? I'm thinking of 1 of 3... DryJoys, AQL or SYNR-G. What do you think?

I got a pair of Dryjoys from 118.golf for £54.99.

£5 dearer than the direct golf offer but got my size and the colour I was after. Played 2 rounds and so far so good!

Just thought on... I'm a size 10 in regular shoes. Is it the same for golf shoes or do you have to go half size up?

Go for your regular size and fitting and your DJs will be the most comfortable shoes in your wardrobe - and your golf will be the better for them too.

I bought a pair of the £49.99 dryjoys that were linked to from here, on Direct Golf. Very, very, very comfortable pair of shoes. And after playing in some shi**y weather on the weekend - very dry too.

How about a pair of these:

I would probably fork out for some classics if I were a richer man.

I personally would not buy shoes online, I would try them on in the shop to make sure.

Not worth saving a tenner if they might not fit IMHO.

I believe that the main difference between Adidas 360's and Footjoy Drypro's is the construction. Adidas are more of a trainer, Footjoys are more of a shoe. Adidas (the ones that I owned) were not leather lined, the Footjoy ones are. Leather lining makes a shoe much more durable. I also have a funny shaped heel bone which destroys the synthetic heel lining area of a trainer. This is why the Adidas ones I owned have not lasted anywhere near as long as the Footjoy ones. Arguably though, the Adidas ones look better - but, as I am bald, ugly and approaching 40, I will plump for comfort and durability every time.
