I recently saw a set of specs in a store that claimed to help you find your balls(no comments please). The lenses were of dark blue glass/plastic that,in the store at least, appeared to dull everything insight other than white objects which stood out quite significantly.
Has anyone tried these on the course or are they a waste of £25.00 as I suspect?

I heard one of the bods on talk sport golf program last nite, saying they were a total waste of money. He tried them and saw nothing.

Gay boy gil uses them to find arseholes that he can penetrate.

Actually photographers on the forum will know that looking through a coloured filter darkens colours at the opposite end of the colour spectrum therefore I think a reddish filter would be the best for looking for a white golf ball in green grass. Unless of course you are colour blind and can't differentiate between red and green.

Nothing apart from a sniffer dog will find your ball when its under some leaves at this time of year.

I did read in a US golf mag recently that you can take a free replacement drop in such areas (close to where you reasonably think the ball has become lost/covered by leaves)as the leaves are considered temporary GUR/rubbish to be removed.

Thanks a bunch JP, I'm sure a lot of us that were at Forest Pines will be really thrilled to find out that one, five weeks too late.

I was playing with a guy the other day and every time he hit his ball into the rough he walked straight to it. Intrigued I asked him how he managed to do it. He then said it was one of those special new balls which they guarantee you will not lose and you can find it every time. Where do you buy them I asked? Dont know came the reply I found this one in the rough.

Maybe you could coat your ball in aniseed or some other strong smelling stuf. Then at home train a small dog to find it. So we could have a special breed of tiny dog that would fit in a golf bag pocket. On the command "Titleist, Ho" the minature hound would leap from under its concealed bag flap and hit the ground running, maybe turning a few somersaults for the ammusement of the golf party. These could be marked down for each golfer and taken into consideration in the event of a tie. Also, speed of ball finding would be marked on. Mayhap we could name them 'St andrews terriers' or a 'linkshound retriever' Only thing is i hate finding dog crap on the course. Maybe we could train them to poop in a divot and then pat the divot on top of it with its forelegs ?
