Hello to all,I have just joined your Web Site and wondered if any body has any experience using the new cleveland ta 5 irons.I have read some reviews on the American sites and a number of people have been having shafts break soon after purchase.
I have been playing for 2 years now and play off an unoficial low 20 handicap.I am looking to buy a new set of clubs soon and have heard that the Clevelands are very easy to play with.Any advice would be gratefully recieved,
regards,Kevin

I tried them - found them to be less forgiving than other clubs of their type.
Rather a harsh feel if not hit out of the sweet spot.

thanks for your reply Alan.I think the best thing for me is to wait for the winter sales and go and try out a number of different makes.

Hi Kevin,
I have been playing with the T A 5's for about 2 months now and find them to be quite superb and before i go any further no i,m not a Cleveland Rep. Buying new clubs these day,s is a frightning nightmare, such a massive choice makes parting with your hard earned dosh very difficult. My previous clubs were Taylormade Burners which i loved but allways regreted puchasing graphite shafts. My first few outings with the TA5s were a complete disaster, shanking the ball all over the place but now striking the ball better than ever, even able to draw and fade the ball to order my 3 iron which was never out of my bag before is a doddle to hit as well. Nice fairly high ball flight and mid to short irons have superb backspin action on the greens. The wedges are excellent as well . I to have read about the problems with heads becoming loose but have had no problems here (yet) will keep you posted. All in all definetly my best golfing purchse ever. Sorry to go on and on but in my humble opinion these clubs are the dogs b*!*s.

Oh and i chose the gunmetal finish koz they look nice.

Regards,Craig
