Ok guys, despit ethe massive xmas spend, I've just enough money left for a new club for me.
So, it needs to be something for 150 to 200 yds in either a rescue club ( broke my Ram FX ) or a 7 wood.
Whats best, Taylormade Mid Rescue or a Heavenwood or is there a 7 wood easier to hit than those two?

 What's your budget?

Haven't hit the Heavenwood but bought the TM Mid 3 this year and it's been brilliant. Anyone like to buy a TM RAC lt 3iron. It's redundant.

£100 ( maybe more if I forgoe GTA3 San Andreas)

Get GTA3SA and do some bargaining with the folks in the shop. All the new stock will start appearing, and the sales will help do the rest...

get a 7 wood. unless you have a bad slice then get a rescue.

I've not got a lot of choice in my area for golf shops. I've AGD in Braintree and Nevada Bobs in Harlow. I've not had much luck with getting discounts from Nevada Bobs in the past.
My slice has gone into remission after a hard fought battle.
I've tried the TM Mid at AGD but off a tee. They wouldnt let me try it off the deck and I'm loathe to spend the money if I cant get it up out in the real world.
My girlfriend bought a Bay Hill 7 wood from Nevada Bobs and finds it v.easy to use. I've given it a go and not suprisingly it felt like a trying to hit a ball with a conker on a string coz of the lady flex shaft.
Any recommendations on the 7 wood?

I can get my TM Mid in the air from just about anywhere. I think they have dropped in price and if I were you I would try to get the 3 and 4 possibly. They are very good for examining your swing as I've found that wherever the clubface is pointing at point of impact then thats the way the ball goes - in a straight line. Very little draw or fade, (hook/slice!)

See TM review on this site Damon. Great club, worth every penny. It's so easy to hit off the deck and out of the rough. I have a 5, which for me travels approx 150 yds.

I tried the TM Rescue club at a test day at a local driving range, It was c**p. managed to hit the thing no further then my sand wedge. Went out and bought a 7 wood instead, AGD had a Nicklaus on special, 40 quid! Great, now using this instead of a 3 iron! Have you got a driving range with a pro shop attached in your area Damon? You need to try hitting this sort of club off the ground to decide if you like it.

My club has a small pro-shop but it doesnt have the biggest selection in the world.
When I was after a new driver they'd only let me try the demo 440SZ 9.5 degree with a stiff shaft. Totally no good for me and they had no other demo clubs.
I've seen the Deep Red 2 7 wood on ebay recently for £55. I think I'll get one of them and the TM Mid and sell on the one I dont get on with.
Ta for your help boys and girls. You'll see one of them on Ebay soon!

 Oh - one more question.
I've now graphite shafts in all my irons and woods.
Straight out of the wrapping, which is better in the TM Mid, Reg steel or Reg Graphite.

Probably worth checking it out with the folks in the shop, as it depends a bit on your swing speed. From what I've understood so far, it's also a feel thing so go with what feels right.
Someone else here will probably fill in all the gaps.

Thanks Dscaper. The AGD Staff near me can be helpfull when they want to be.
I know I mentioned it on another thread, but top job getting an 89

 Cheers Damon. :)

Stock TM graphite shaft is Cr*p, go with steel in whatever flex suits you.

I've got a TM 4 on the classifieds on here if interested.
Dis agree with maffu I hit the them dead straight, tried at demo and hits lots of balls. It's just I decided I want a 3 and want to sell the other one whilst its still in the wrapper.
