Having scoured various magazine & intenet reviews including Golfmagic for good fairway woods. I've noticed the Cobra SZ fairways rate quite highly.

I'm a 22 handicapper who has intermittently struggled with fairways off the deck. The reviews I've read on the Cobra SZ seem to indicate a lot of user friendliness.

Can anyone recommend (through experience)the good or bad points of this particular club? I'm on the verge of buying but would appreciate any assistance.

My friend was after a Fairway wood and he tried the Cobra, but couldn't get on with it. He said the couldn't use it off the floor, so he tried out the Mizuno Mp-001 and Callaway Big Bertha and he chose the Callaway,

I suggest you try out the Mizuno, Callaway, Cobra and Taylormade V-Steel and then choose.

No name, I've just decided this morning to sell my Cobra SZ fairways if your interested. They are fantastic clubs and the ball comes off them really well. I'm getting rid of them because I reckon they aren't set up for my game. They have stiff shafts, on Dave Moffats advise, they are probably a bit 'springy' for me, causing me to hook.

Which Fairways are you getting instead Kev?

Big Kev, can't understand why my name didn't show. Tweaked about with my profile/details. Thanks for the offer but I'm going to follow Alex Smith90's advice and look at a few different clubs.

have a 4+ in regular stock std shaft.

Easiest to hit fairway for me, may be different for you

Try before you buy

On a range

Not in AGD's practice net

I'm going to go back to my old woods if I can persuade the guy I sold them to to sell them back. Callaway Steelhead Plus with regular steel shafts and 1 1/2 extension plugs. Or failing that try to get the same clubs and adjust. Theres a set going for £85 odds plus postage on ebay.I sold mine for £50 so I'd be a bit cheesed of having to pay that.

Alex - are you trying to post as two different people?

Talking to yourself can be a bad thing

Sorry chaps. I think that might have been me. I was tweaking around with my profile and for some weird and strange reason my post came up as Big Als. Glitch somewhere?

Eh? Its the 4+ and 7 I've got, not the bog standard shaft I got the same shafts as their driver put on them when I ordered. Its a reluctant sale I really love them but can't keep them in the park.

Why has he changed his name to replicate mine?

This thread is confusing.

I've got the Cobra SZ 3 wood from my wife for Christmas and up till now I'm really pleased with it.

Cobra SZ 3 wood verses TaylorMade 580Ti 3 wood-Any verdict out there? Went to local pro shop yesterday and had a few swings with each, liked the feel of the TM better than the Cobra.
I've read in various reviews that the TM 580Ti is more suited to higher handicappers (such as myself, at 22).

Can anyone (through experience)give me the good or bad points of either club? I would appreciate any feedback.
