Anybody any info or used a Benross Driver V12 or V6 get good reviews top branded shafts as standard (grafalloy) seem a bargain at prices starting at £99....

Not used them, but they do have a good reputation. Watch out, though, they may be over the COR limit come 2008.

According to Golf Monthly come within the COR limit, 460cc head black titanium looks impressive..

I have the V8, have had no problems with it, came with a grafalloy blue shaft. Extremely forgiving, I think the head is 430cc, picked mine up for £70 new from ebay. The only drawback with mine is that it exceeds the COR limit in 2008

If you're not sure, check the R&A web-site and it gives a list of all non-conforming clubs.

They got some really good reviews in Today's Golfer.
Also watch out for the new Progen Drivers!

I love the Benross range of clubs. If I remember rightly the clubs conform all except the HOTFACE versions. There website isn't listing any of those versions atm so maybe they have stopped producing them.

i have recently bought the benross v12 and in all honesty hate it and think that unless you cath it of the centre its a gorrible contact.SO ive swapped to the r580xd(taylormade) and having a much better game with it

I was playing with an american recently who had the V12, i tried it several times and hated it, it looked like it was made out of plastic, sounded like it too. Very disappointed as they are such a cool company.

Everything I hit went high and right, I really like the company though so its a shame

I bought a Benross V8 a month ago - Its 440cc and 2008 legal. It's the best driver I've ever hit. Have tried the G2 and R7 etc. Can pick them up for £80 or so on ebay and at that price you can't go wrong.
Also, don't be fooled into thinking this isn't a top quality product. To me the quality is equally as good as a Ping etc and looks fantastic. Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue shaft and the latest Golf Pride multi-compound grip (Blue/Black).
The other factor is that it's nice to have something different from the usual taylormade, callaway, ping.
Benross is a brand I'll certainly be returning to. Quality products at a reasonable price.
