I bought one of these.... one flight from Bristol to Glasgow, it had more holes in it than West Brom's defence!

The material is too thin for the purpose (in my opinion) and the company say they sold loads without complaint, so told me to get stuffed! (nice attitude)

The airline don't want to know either!

Great service all round!

How long have you had it?

If the product isn't up to the task that it's advertised for then you have consumer rights. If you bought it recently, and it didn't survive one flight then that's pretty conclusive.

What I do? Well, I'm a Which? subscriber and I tend to mention that if they don't provide fair service then I'll be contacting Which? about my rights. Usually does the trick! ;-)

tbh I don't think the airline is in the wrong here... unless it can be shown they were extremely negligent with your clubs.

It was the first flight and was bought the week before!

But, it isnt worth the time and trouble to bring a SGA Claim for something relatively with low value.

Got to be worth a letter or e-mail though isn't it? You may have spoken to someone at the bottom of the ladder... while management may take a different view.

You could of course mention that you are an active member of a popular golf forum... where a large number of potential customers post. ;-)

ps don't mean to sound so pushy... I just hate poor customer service and don't like seeing decent people robbed of money... even £40.

Would you not be better with a hard travel case??

Ian - I have the Founders Club travel-bag bought from direct golf and it has been superb - roomy, tough as old boots and complete with a zip on/off rucksack that I have used for rambling or on hols for carrying beach kit.

Excellent!
