Just having a look on "The Bay" and came across these:-
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1514&item=7162959284&rd=1
I've had the Genuine Roo gloves for about 3 months and have played about 20 rounds with my first one and it's still like new. I wonder if these cheap ones are as good?
Looks like there having a little dig at Golf Europe though - "Selling elsewhere for £15.95"

 |
I bought some off this seller in Oct 04 and they were OK.
A glove would normally last me 10 - 15 rounds and these did as well if not better.

I have never seen Roo gloves anywhere... ive heard so many good things about them like 'I've had the Genuine Roo gloves for about 3 months and have played about 20 rounds with my first one and it's still like new'
Got any links to where i can buy them please?

 Yup,
It used to be on the left hand side with the other shopping partners, also Bigger Al, whom you may have seen posting on various thread actually runs it.
Speaking of Bigger Al, I havent seen him post anything since the golf show.
http://www.golfshopeurope.com
I can't speak highly enough about them.

I personally wouldn't touch the ebay ones as Al has been very good for this site offering prizes during GM outings and for a charity day I organised. I bought three of his gloves over a year ago and just started using the third one about 6 weeks ago.
Highly recommended for value and durability.

Only the 'back' of the glove that is 'roo skin. The palm is made of SYNTHETIC suede and silicone material.
What's the point of that?
The whole idea of kangaroo skin is that as an interface between hand and club there is NO better material. Tougher, thinner and performs in the wet

 |
I believe the Gloves with the black suede and silicone material are marketed as wet weather gloves by this seller.
The standard ones that I bought are all leather and very thin in comparison to my prevoius cabretta leather glove. They also outlasted my previous glove to.

If I may add my comments and I do agree with everything above.
To agree with Big Al, the whole point of kangaroo leather is to take advantage of its natural properties. Firstly kangaroo leather can only stretch in 1 direction thus allowing it to maintain its shape for longer (not like cabretta that stretches in 360°). The lattice layering of the leather also makes it exceptionally strong and therefore can be made thinner, feels softer and will naturally last longer.
If you have are wearing a gardening glove to play golf how much feel and control will you get? By maximising the natural properties of the leather you have a glove that gives you greater control and feel but not at the expense of durability. I think that is what everyone should be looking for.
The last amazing fact of kangaroo leather is that once wet it becomes sticky and not slimy like cabretta leather. You therefore have an all weather glove thrown in for nothing, (what a bargain).
Therefore to me what is the point of giving a glove a synthetic palm. Okay the back will breath but you are missing the real advantage of the leather.
Hook it…., I guess they are referring to us with the price (cheeky buggers), however there are also different grades of leather, the gloves certainly are not the same, and you get what you pay for. We have a customer in France who is selling lots of these gloves per year for £21 each, fortunately for me on mainland Europe, golfers look for value and not bargains all the time.
We currently do have promotion, as it is difficult to complete with Nike, footjoy etc at the top end of the market which is where the glove should be aimed, so we have 3 for 2 offer, plus every order receives a free baseball cap or ladies visor worth £12.95.
We are advertising with Golfmagic in the editorial sections, this page is an example.. http://www.golfmagic.com/news/article/mps/UAN/4217/v/1/sp/ We are on the right hand side also advertising Nebuloni.
Hacker, I still have a box for you in my living room. Put me down to play next year in your charity event, I will be able to make it (I am still waiting by the way, and no sign that the icle one will arrive soon!!)
I have been posting, but lost a little interest over one thread, so have been picking n choosing, what and when to post.
