Hi everyone,

Has anyone got any advice on good training books? The instructor I had this weekend had some great photo sequence posters on the back wall pointing out different faults and good technique in photos - step by step.

I'd be interested in hearing what basic instructional books anyone here has read and recommends?

Thanks,

Jeremy

the golden bear has a golf instruction book out for a long time now - it's a compilation of a weekly series he used to do for some magazine in the states and it covers all aspects of the game without going into too much complicated detail - i always find myself going back to it to "brush up" on different things - "the best of nicklaus' golf" it's called.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to go look in a shop sometime next week I hope.

The Laws Of the golf swing

(body type your golf & master your game)

mike adams tj tomasi phd & jim suttie

Philosphy may have developed off "The Golf Machine" impossible NASA engineer treatise describing differening human physical golf swing abilities & result of this mechanical action

Tomasi's book not "how to play" but will if religously followed help you determine your body shape is & how this determines how you should swing !! & keys to results

get it (find it on Amazon.com)

follow it !!! ugg donk

Appy Knu Yeer Jeremy

Jus thort Bobby Jones may be bit "Passe" re current swing instruction but a beautifull action worth contemplating & understand he only spent 3 seconds after taking stance

Teev ran series a while ago on old masters (real footage) Snead/Palmer & I think Locke Thompson & Von Nida etc

I sometimes sit & contemplate Jones & Snead to relax somtimes when my game is bit off !

He made several golf movies these rejigged & released as four videos about 1997 'Bobby Jones How I play Golf Collection' Bob/W may have access if no Quadrant Video Carshalton Surrey

Think 10 quid each ! worth place on shelf ?

Ugg !!donk

Bobby Jones.....great swing.
The pro who's giving me lessons at the moment teaches exclusively with video camera and shots of top pros to make comparisons with your swing.

Last lesson included a "swing thought" of Bobby Jones - start the backswing with a movement of the left hip towards the ball.
Last time out it worked for me! But.... tomorrow....?!
Cheers
