Sorry if this has been done to death before. But which magazines should I look to read to get a general introduction to the sport?

I read Today's Golfer at the weekend which seemed pretty good. Packed with tips and so forth. That's certainly one friends have recommended.

Anything similar?

Cheers,

Jeremy

I suggest Razzle,

great for developing those all important wrist muscles.

Jeremy,

Can't be of much help since I can't find any of the large international magazines here in Denmark. Anyway, a way back there was another tread in this forum on this matter and I suggest you take a look at it for ideas.

Thats why Hugh hits the "big left!" slinging hook so often!

Today's golfer is good for a general introduction and I found the instructional pieces very easy to understand. Don't get Alan talking about the number of bunker articles it contains.

I have found though after buying it regularly for a year that the articles do seem to repeat themselves. But as an introduction to the game it is great. Also covers a lot of 2 fore 1 courses in it's course reviews.

I also buy Golf World this is ok as well. Good interviews and columns.

I found the web to be great for tuition sites. Golf Magic is great. Everything you want. There is everything you would want from course reviews to instruction to madness out there. Some of the good sites are quite hidden and need a bit of searching out.

chris - when you say some of the good sites are quite hidden, which do you mean?

I mean not easily found with search engines.

They don't get a good ranking. With google for example. I found them by following links from forums or other websites.

I won't publisise them here. I have to say though this is the only golf site I check daily. The others I regularly go to a specific to one area of golf. Not Like GolfMagic.

Read 'Bogey' magazine if you are under 45 years old and like modern magazines that feature thought provoking articles alongside fashion shoots featuring sexy people. if not the try razzle or Today's Golfer.
