Time for a little forgiveness

With my game being in and out lately and honestly (and mentally) in need of some rejuvination I've just bought a second hand set of irons on Ebay.

They are Srixon XX10 irons (really forgiving titanium insert undercut cavities) with Rifle 5 shafts - some of you will remember that I tried Rifles in Srixons before and really liked them. I have been trying to get a set of these shafts for my Mizuno MX20's which have Dynalite Gold stiff shafts at present and I'm not totally convinced that they are right for me. Because the little used Srixons were only £175 inc. post & packing could not see the point of reshafting.

Anyway - waiting for the postie some time this week.

Let's see if they rejuvinate my enthusiasm.

It's never the workman's fault.

Don't you know anything LGL?

hee hee hee :-)

Know what you mean LGL but feeling a bit sorry for myself lately and need cheering up - didn't want to buy a new set but at that price was curious to see how they perform.
Sometimes a change works - for a while

I will keep my original Mizuno's however.

'Workmen tools' I find that another rubber industry product works particularly on stiff shafts.

*Update*

Cannot believe the condition and quality of these irons for 175 bucks - absolutely A1.
Ebay is great when it works.

Anyway gave 'em an outing this morning and no disasters. Couple of strikes were wayward but new clubs don't fix a bad swing - working on it.
Main thing is that they feel good, so given some more practise time should see great results as they are definately powerful. Also I was able to hit 4 or 5 straight tee shots with the three iron and also risked a couple off the fairway, as they are so forgiving.

Will post a user review after a couple of rounds but they will stay in the bag for a while.
