I have a Nikon 800 I got from Ebay. It's good quality and accurate (although I haven't compared it with other models). They can't be used for competition but they are very useful for practice and making yardage charts. Maybe the day when they become legal isn't so far away.

I got a £20 one (Bushnell). Most sites sell them.
It gives you a good yardage, but I never use it. I suggest you save the money, unless you play a course which doesn't have yardage markers.

Have you noticed some of the bushnell models have a range of 5-1500 meters ! That must be in anticipation of the pro V2 ball and Ping G7 driver.
