Has anyone got or used one yet?Not sure weather to go for one or g2.

Well I don't really think there's much difference, probably a few yards and a different name!

I suggest you try out both of them before choosing.

Have got a G2, as do lots on here. I think mine is great, but others would hate the shaft or loft. The main thing is this, a G2 that suits you will be far better than a G5 that does not. I can't imagine that any normal golfer would tell the difference between the two clubs, if they both match that individual.

Would imagine there will be bargins to be had with G2's being sold off to make space for G5's. If it were me I'd get a cheap G2, so long as the shaft and club loft suit.

I've ordered my 10* G2 with reg Aldila shaft an I'm expecting it to be delivered tomorrow. I thought that I'd wait an see how much the G2 would come down in price now the G5 is available but that just aint happening. The stocks of G2's are virtually non existent. I got upto page 10 on a google search before I found anybody with the spec I wanted. Seems to be a few various stiff shafted models about but not many regular at all. My advice would be if you want a G2 get it now, or all you'll be able to get are used ones from eBay.

I just picked up a bargain G2 with stiff Aldila NV shaft (10 degree) from my pro this morning. He had taken one as part exchange and was selling it at £110 and let me play on the course with it. It was awesome. I happened to have £105 cash in my wallet and he accepted that. The club head, shaft & grip are in excellent condition

I have the same spec (10 Deg Adila NV Stiff) bought in June for £199 and in the process of listing it for sale (£150)

I want a higher ball flight so I've picked up another 10 deg with the Graphalloy blue high launch shaft in Reg that gives me the flight I want.

The shaft type on my new driver should read Pro-launch..Doh!!

What are the shaft options on the G2? And how accurate are they are a guide to buying?

I generate a lot of clubhead speed and have always used stiff shafts [that are actually stiff!]

used mine first time in a comp on sunday, hit one or two decent drives but think i prefer the cobra. short game gave me a creditable 38 points off full handicap - no blobs and only 3 putt was 17 green.

for my game, the G2 needs some getting used to although tee the ball well up is a must

Mine arrived today an they have sent me the stiff Aldila NV65 instead of the regular..
