We are currently researching stories of players that have experienced nasty insect bite attacks while on the course. If you would like to participate please email me at the address provided. Thanks.

Mmm haven't been bitten on the course myself, but was talking to a mate the other day who said that he was playing crap, and then got stung by a wasp round about the turn, and came back in 6 under to score a 68. I guess crap is all relative, and he plays off 3, so being 4 over at the turn was pretty rubbish. Total pants in fact.

An insect bite stands out particularly in the memory of my wife and myself. On our 25th wedding anniversary we were playing golf at Burgenstock, on the edge of Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. Minutes after Carol scored her first ever birdie, holing a 40 foot putt on a short par-4 on the 9-hole course she was bitten on the ankle by a mosquito.Eight years later she still has traces of the scar, as the bite blew up to the size of a tennis ball and she was taking double penicilin for what seemed months.
