Mose. Brilliant effort.

Do you remember Fore! magazine. That's exactly what it used to be about - fun.

Really nice site. Keep it coming.

We've decided to stay at the Wyboston Lakes.

Mainly so we can stay in the hotel too.  This will be the official course for the Golfbloke 'Summerslam' over 36 holes.

I best sort myself out though, because currently I'm playing...Well pretty shite to be honest. I've developed some hideous kind of slice shot with my mid irons (5-7). It's costing me no end of shots and confidence at hitting the ball a good distance with my irons is dropping rapidly. Anyone got any advice for mid-iron slicing?  My driving, chipping and putting I can live with.

I'm looking to half the cost of this 3 day event, by winning every game - we always have a cheeky wager on the outcome. Ward is my main rival to be honest, but he's a choker..

Thanks for all your input on courses by the way guys

Hope you sort your slice out before you tee it up at Wyboston Mose - take a look at the first on Google Earth and you'll see what I mean!

Or - if you're feeling particularly brave (or fool hardy) cut out the dog leg and go across the lake

Nice website, really like the look of it. Good use of flash too.

I watched the Champions Day 2007 movie - really funny lol. The guy witht he white hat seems to have a good backswing, but he totally messes it up on the downswing and comes way out ontop of the ball, lol.

The food at Wyboston is pretty good, especially the breakfast, but it can be a bit quiet in the hotel bars in the evenings at weekends.

If you take a short walk down the Great North Road there are some nice pubs, the White Horse is usually quite lively, and a good Indian Restaurant called the Akbar.

If you take a taxi into St. Neots town centre then you've got a good choice of pubs. The Priory is the "in" place and the Corner House is usually buzzing. There's a very good chinese on the corner of the market square (the Hong Kong) and a very good Indian just around the corner - can't remember the name but the chaps from GM went there last December when they met up for the Christmas bash - I'm sure someone will supply the name.

Let us know the exact time & date you're teeing off at Wybo, it might be worth coming along to see how many balls you collectively lose on the first!

If your going into St Neots my advice would be to pre-book a Taxi.   If you don't they only have 1 that services the entire town, we were told we'd have to wait until gone 3 in the morning to get one (This was after all the pubs had closed at 12:30am).  If I hadn't hijacked one, I think we'd be still waiting now.

Can't remember the name of the Curry House we went to but it was top drawer, really good stuff.  The boozers are quite nice, reasonably priced and it's a nice little town for a night out.

Thanks for the info guys. I was kind of hoping there would be a decent area to goto other than the hotel. Your write ups have been well noted and will more than likely be acted upon

Steven Fergus, Thanks for the web Comments.  I've emailed Ward your review of his swing! Please feel free to rip his game to bits some more and ill forward on other quality comments to him aswell.  He loves it!

The word on the Streets is that Ward has been taking private lessons without telling anyone for the Summerslam event...very crafty

The Indian restaurant who's name we couldn't recall is the Nawab Lounge in New Street, booking is recommended and their number is 01480 473473
