I currently use an offset driver due to having the odd slice, i've found it to be a great club for me,but do sometimes hook it. A friend suggested i try a draw driver but could not explain what the difference is between a draw or offset driver, just said they both help a slicer. I would appreciate if someone could explain the difference between these clubs. I'm considering the MD GOLF SUPERSTRONG EQL 12° SQUARE 460cc DRIVER (Draw) Anyone used this club? thanks in advance

I believe that a draw driver uses weight positioned in the heel end of the head to help the face return square at impact An Offset driver is where the face is set slightly back from the shaft so that there is a fraction more time for the club face to contact the ball squarely at impact. Im no expert and im sure someone will be able to correct me if im wrong and explain in more detail.

Draw drivers usually call on one or more of these three design features: - Closed face (face angled inwards towards you).
- Weighting in the heel of the club to help you turn over club on the through swing (the"release")
- Offset (noting that some clubs labelled "Draw" are actually using offset, e.g. the Ping G10 Draw)
I've used offset and draw clubs to help me cure my slice and then found that the right cure for me was actually......more loft. The right cure for you really depends on why you slice.

Well done reulator couldn't have put it better myself

Shaggy and The Reg are both spot on. Try finding a TM Burner Draw in a Pro Shop, they're probably being replaced soon so you could get a bargain on a new or ex-Demo.

Thanks to all for the help and advice. Regulator I intend going for the higher loft myself.

Smudge, I use the Superstrong EQL Ti460 Driver and its a classy bit of kit! The Graffalloy Pro launch shaft is Great and the Golf pride Grip is Comfy! Its well made and all round top Quality! At impact it is a little dead sounding, But it hits the ball Very long and straight (when I get it right) I might add that the club the MD replaced was the new Mizuno MX 560 and I have not looked back since!
