played it today with my society, and what a course, very impressive.

great scenery from the tees and some really challenging holes. can be frustrating though as the rough is ridiculous, it might as well be water, once your ball is in - its gone!!! Really enjoyed the par 3's too a very short one at 140 yards which is a definate birdie opportunity.

i'll definatley be returning.

anyone else played this recently?

Not recently but about 8-9 years ago our society played it 3 years running. Lovely course and would love to play it again.

I have played at 3 years running as an end of season cricket club trip in a group of 20 players.

First the good; The course has some good interesting holes and the views from the clifftop holes are spectacular. The clubhouse is good, food excellent and the staff very friendly indeed.

The bad; this year it took 5.25 hours to get round! The rough is very penal on some holes but the major problem was a society in front of us. They wouldn't let players through despite have a character who only had 3 (three) stableford points in his round.

This experience has soured it for us and we'll be going elsewhere next year.

might just be rumour but I heard yesterday that Brid links had gone bust? Not sure about who owns it etc but does not sound good for golf!

That is bad news, despite my experience this year, I've found them to be very nice people and the course interesting.

Isn't there also a holiday "village" with chalets etc also attached to it?

Website down as well so the rumour may be true
