take a look here

http://www.golfbidder.co.uk/

you might get lucky

for example, mizuno mx19 for around £200. 2nd hand, but for that money, you'll probably get better clubs that way.

Fatshafts and the Di series are supposed to be forgiving, not really aimed at low handicappers.

dont really understand the forgiving side, does it mean that there easier to get the ball near the target but precission is lost ???

It means that even if you don't hit the ball exactly on the sweet spot of the club, it should still get reasonable distance and acuracy, but maybe not exactly as you had intended.

THOUGHT AS MUCH !!!! LOL!!!!

The trouble i have with my irons is that i dont seem to get  the desired distance, my shots seem to be more like a flop shot (but not as short!!). I've tried to try different ways of swinging and it seem to be improving, think the graphites are not helping out much ????

Have a lesson so a pro can have a look at your action - it will be money well spent. You may not suit the irons/shafts you have. I know I personally can't get along with graphites on irons mind you I've got the swing from hell.

Basically try before you buy - which I wish I had!!

i've got a couple of old macgregor woods. they're quite a well established old company who've been around for along time. went into decline for a while but are now back on the up. good clubs and a bargain at that price. avoid stiff shafts though unless you can really hit them well and have a very fast swing. not sure what the (4.5) means in the regular rifle shaft though. give them a call.

touble is.................im better at driving and then using my woods, thats why i was looking at a full set that comes with hybrids and a driver. Was thinking that it might be better to get a 2nd hand set of irons from golfbidder and mabe a new set of woods, theres soooooooooo much out there, is does my nut in looking ;-D

 this all helps though !!

Depends how picky you are on brands.

There are a bundle here at less than £200 and MD Golf are a very well respected brand where you can pick up decent sets in your range.

The Orka Kii's have got to be worth a look at £200 including custom fitting.

My dad just bought a set of MD titanium ti irons 3-pw for £159 inc p&p. They are last years model and came with true temper regular shafts. I must say they are amazing value for money.
