I am new to the forum and also new to golf having started playing regularly within the last month, which has consisted of daily trips to the driving range...

I am looking into getting a full set of clubs and was wondering if anyone had any advice? I am looking to spend between £150 - £200

Have a troll through the forum - there's plenty of advice for buying gear - personally I'd have a look on ebay for someone who may be giving up - you may get some bargains.

Avoid starter sets as they are usually bobbins.

Hi Mark welcome to the forum. I agree with the advice in the above posts.

If you find something you're interested in buying post it on here and I'm sure the more experienced golfers will point you in the right direction.

Many of the big name starter sets will see you right for the first 12-18 months (possibly longer) until you get a consistent swing and also on-course practice and an appreciation of what club to use in the right situation.

 Does your driving range have a proshop? My advice would be to try before you buy and take a few clubs from each set in your price range for a swing before you choose.

Are you considering graphite or steel shafts?

I was going to go for steel shafts as they are what I have been using so far. These were the two sets that have caught my eye so far, does anyone know anything about them? OK to start with?
