The society have mentioned having a couple of days at the Abbey Worcestshire, seems a good deal on golfbreaks but the writeups seem a bit iffy.

Any thoughts?

I stayed and played the Abbey at Redditch a few years ago, its OK, some good holes but very urban, you walk through a housing estate to get from the first to the second!

Seem to remember a couple of nice par threes and despite playing in Feburuary the course was in nice condition.

I think we paid £120 for 2 nights, 3 rounds, dinner bed & breakfast. Wouldn't rush back but I would play again.

Thanks James ,your comments are along the lines Ive  read in  some course reviews. I dont want to put a dampener on the weekend as the guys are realy looking forward to it.If its just one walk through a housing estate I think we can get away with that as long as there not like the ones round here,at least we will have our "bats" to hand

By housing estate I mean suburban mock tudor cul de sac, not a bad area at all.

That sounds a bit better,I was having a vision of having to fight my way round the course
