Mal,

Thanks for the pointer about the autumn meet, however unfortunately I still don't have the requistite handicap certificate, nor am I probably going to get one before the event! Therefore I felt from your reply that I wouldn't be able to attend the event? My appologies if this is incorrect.

Why can't you get a cert... Do you not have a home club?

I am intending to do the December meet (Stickman please add me to any list of atendees) it was a good but very wet day last year. I could do the 29th as well.

 Will watch this space!!

I don't have a home club and at present have no chance of getting one! Therefore am unable to get a proper handicap certificate (I could get a shonky one from the web, but the term 'waste of money' springs to mind!)

BB, a friend of mine has his handicap with these people:

It's accepted everywhere.

If you've got 3 cards you can have a handicap within 24 hours!

Sounds good idea Tim, thanks for hgelping out. Alternatively BB, a letter or certificate of competence, from an accredited PGA coach at your local club, with an approximate estimated handicap (even after a lesson) would be quite acceptable for a GM golf day as far as I'm concerned. No one should be excluded from joining if they want to play and enjoyed the fun. ED

that's the other problem Bob. I don't have a lot of competency at golf!

Oh well, never mind then! Back to the practce ground!

I can do Peterborough , mind you I believe the max handicap is 28 for men 36 for ladies not   '18' so you can win whatever
