Hi would a standard length 3 iron shaft be long enough to be fitted in a plus 1/2 inch 4 iron or am i right in thinking it would be ever so slightly shorter? Thanks Steven

1/4 inch difference between clubs on average i think.

The shaft length would be OK as it should be 1/2 inch longer - the flex however will play softer in a 4 iron, as the shaft will have been tipped for the 7 gram lighter 3 iron head.

Ok the shafts are brand new and all thats happened is they have been trimmed for a set of standard length clubs and now need to be in a set of plus 1/2 inch so im guessing as all thats happened is they have been trimmed the weight will be fine? Thanks
