I've just got back into playing golf again after a 5 year layoff.

I was playing off 14 then and was using a set of Mizuno mx25's (I think!).

Anyway, I'm after a complete new set of clubs and have been looking at either the Ping G10's or the Callaway x20's or maybe even the Callaway FT's.

Snainton Golf Direct seem to have some good deals on them all.

Yours confused

I went for a set of X20 Tour after an 8 year lay off, i played with copper ping ISI previously.

For me they are great, lots of feel, ability to shape shots and forgiving! The X20 were a lot too chunky for me!

What ever you choose it is very much worth getting custom fitted at a range with a vector machine etc.

whats wrong with a set of old Ping Eye 2s?

cheap ( in case your return to the game is short lived) reliable ( still being used on the PGA Tour!) and pretty damn user friendly.

Hard to go wrong at the money.

GOod luck, what ever you buy.

I love my G10 irons. Really easy to use.

Paul,

Did you get an onsite custom fitting or just use the web based custom fitting plan?

My coach sorted them out. He got me a good deal too. He had the grips thickened, a regular lie and regular shafts. They seem very easy to connect well with.

Can't go wrong with the G10's bud, infinite custom fit options too if that's what you're after.

Cheers.
