Treacle, I'd love to but unfortunately I'm stacked at work so wouldn't be able to get time off. Thanks anyway.

Well done Kefkef..... be nice to see you again, maybe you can continue to explain the difference between Rugby League & Union Treacle... you have a PM
 Cheers Scotty.
Rugby League is for the ladies. Rugby Union is for real men who drink beer.
Rugby union is for unfit blokes who like to drink beer. Rugby League is for athletes who can drink union players under the table and play them off the park!

Thanks guys for a very enjoyable round today. See Yorkshire can be sunny occasionally and I really enjoyed the Knaresborough GC. Highly recommended, pleasant course, friendly people and stonking breakfasts. Thanks treacle for organising, good to see you again scotty, hope we get to play next together next time Crux. Thanks for our game Kev (your yardages are something else!) and kefkef it's always a pleasure. Regards to you all and until the next time. BTW Looks like we missed a right barney on the forums whilst we were out laiking!

yup, thoroughly enjoyed it, even went to parts of the course that I normally do not visit, saw loads of squirels amongs the trees I was really impressed with the condition of the course, fairways were really dry, well cut and the layout was quite nice also. Apart from the 4 greens that I three putted on (I blame the hollow tinning) they were pretty decent with lots of slopes and hollows. Lovely clubhouse and great buttys (I even had to eat two of them because the girl that took the order probably couldn't understand my Geordie accent). All in all, well worth the £17 and I would definately go back for another round. Thanks to all that took part and especially Martin for getting it all up and running. Here's to the next North East - Yorkshire meet....... (maybe I might be able to get some help from the fellow North Easterners.

Offer is still open if you all want to play at Bedale sometime!! We've just hollow tined too but should recover soon (I hope) as that was the greens committee plan, they did it too late last year and we suffered terrible greens all winter, till mayish anyway..
Cheers for a great day guys. Course as said was lovely, definately one to keep in mind for the society next year as it had some nice challenging holes but wasn't too penal if you went into the rough. Shame about the hollow tining but i guess it has to be done some time (didn't affect my shoddy putting very often, but i think ProV1x and Kev had a few putts miss due to it. Only down side for the day was the manic traffic on the way home, needless to say i was late and in the bad books with the girlfriend!

pleased you had a good knock lads, blessed with good weather too !
Yes, the weather was brilliant, although I had my doubts when travelling down the A1 with all the fog, rather dense in some places, but the sunshine prevailed over Knaresborough. Mindthepond... will definately come down to Yorkshire again, you guys are spoiled for choice around that area, can't wait for the next meet-up.

I'd be very happy to play Seaton Carew again I thought it was fantastic. Do you guys put your clubs away for the winter or are you like me and will play in all weather? There will be loads of "Winter Warmer" deals coming up that we could partake of.
