Having to tear myself away from writing news and looking after you guys on Thursday to take 'a day off' to accept an invitation to play in the 'Gents Invitation Am-Am' at Kings Lynn.  Haven't played there for many years  but heard good reports. Any recent experiences or advice I should know about? Seem to remember it as a tough first tee shot. ED

Haven't been there for a couple of years but a very nice course - first tee shot is a bit tight!!

Dont wander too far into the Trees when looking for your Ball! ~ Have you ever Seen the film The Deliverence? and For god's sake leave your Banjo in the Car!

Haven't played there for a good few years.

My recolection is that it isn't a paricularly long course so you can afford to leave the big stick in the bag for the most part.  The par 5's gave room to have a bit of a crash off the tee if you want.

Don't be too greedy off the tee at the par 4's, if the ball is in play then the green should be in range.

Enjoy it!!  The course should be in good condition, if so you will have a good day.

Oooooh! I wish I hadn't asked now, having read this  of The Deliverance

There can be some scary people in West Norfolk, too!

Perhaps I might need my Big Dog after all!

Thanks for the advice I'll let you know how i get on. ED

You'll love it Bob, its a real gem. just keep is straight, and if you do go in the trees, take your medicine!

Great and very underrated course - used to be a junior meber in 86-9. Quite similar to Woburn and pretty much on a par in terms of quality. They have swapped the nines around since I left and a few other routing changes - one of the narrowest tee shots for a first hole I have played. 10th is a greathole. Enjoy.

hang on a mo-i live in lynn and am a member of the course too and can honestly say i have only 'squealed like a piggy' on a handful of occasions-thankfully my brothers are a lot older and left the family nest fairly quickly.

oh, and if anyone fancies a game let me know-would have to be a weekend though and the bringing of a banjo is a prerequisite!
