Told myself I wasnt going to do this gloating, but can`t help myself. Played in a comp at the weekend, Stableford, scored on each hole and shot a net 66 with a whopping 43 points. But more importantly a gross 89. I .am buzzing and fit to burst (sss 73) Before i hear cries of "Bandit", let me explain that this is my second year of playing, hopefully still improving. I never miss a medal, have had regular h`cap cuts when I have won and have been cut several times on general play. It was just nice to have a day when it all came together and I could do no wrong. Have been cut 3 shots for the privelege and am now absolutely delighted to be playing off 20. Onwards and upwards, just hope I can play to it. Sorry if it seems I`m boasting, but other than standing on a roof top screaming, this seemed the best way to share it with somebody. Goodbye Copper and Bronze, hello Silver.

That's pretty good Tinkerbell. No accusations of banditry from me. Sometimes progress comes in big chunks. So, what's your next target then? 18 by the end of the year?
Well done Tinkerbell, thats great news and a fantastic achievement. No banditry with you, just honest and natural progression!
Whats been the secret to the recent success?
Cheers Reckless, 18, why not, circum-navigate the globe maybe, split the atom, anything is possible at the moment

Thanks UA, aah if only I knew the secret. I suppose its been practise, learning some patience ! especially with my course management. And the magic word - Confidence. Plus a big juicy slice of luck!!!!!

Well done Tinkerbell! I dont think you should feel bad about sharing your acheivement here. Enjoy the moment, it sounds like it's thoroughly deserved!

Here here, well done mate. I only wish my brother-in-law would do the same. He seems to relish playing off 23, and makes sure he stays on it (there are ways), then takes the mick when we play together when he gets a bogey on a holes and PROUDLY announces "I get 2 shots on this one"!

Always gloat Tinkerbell - great when you reach milestones. Yet to 'gloat' about my round on Friday...... Or more like wonder how it happened!
Well done Tinkerbell keep up all the practice you can and you will keep on coming down,it can be a bit of an addiction cos when you get to a certain level you need to set your self another target to aim for and like crazyface said some players are content on playing to a high h/cap forever This year i set myself to get down to single figure or close to and ive just managed it this week down to 9.3 in our society, how long i can stay on it is another thing but just pleased to of actually played to it and just in time for our annual short hols in scotland next week and like you said course management, confidence and a little bit of lady luck goes a long way, keep it up matey......

That's a great achievement so early in your golfing career, Tinkerbell. Well done you!
Well done tinkerbell Just wait the time will come when you will not get Two shots on a hole and then just wait untill you dont get any? its all about reaching different levels one at a time.
 gives us all hope, mate!
Great stuff. If you cannot tell fellow golfers, who can you tell. Your next score in the 80s will feel pretty dam good as well. " see it wasnt a bluff."
well done!!! I've still to break 90. I have scored 90 twice and a couple of 91s. Most recently i was well on my way to breaking it and then scored 6,6,6, 7 on the last 4 holes! I'll get there one day (hopefully soon) but finding the time to practice is difficult at the moment. All the best and hope you get into the low 80s soon.
