Pasty, did that include sky movies?

No i don't think so, but I'm not worried about that.

On the plus side, I am delighted to switch on and see that I can watch "men's biathlon from oberhorf, germany" on eurosport 2, and "carry on screaming" on itv2!

I'm still happy with Setanta , would rather watch golf than most other sh*te on TV, saying that watched some drivel in conjunction with Bunker Mentality last night that made the 80s cooking show "Get Stuffed" look like quality broadcasting, luckly it had an ok blond with a "great swing" copresenting otherwise I would have to swtched off

I was thinking of a Setanta subscription beacuse

A PGA Golf

B Premier league Footie

C NASN  (I think NASN is with them)

I believe its £10.99 a month but is there any connection charge?

I'm kinda putt off now

I "cancelled" my subscription in September and despite having spoken to different departments on at least 10 occasions and having sent numerous emails I am still getting calls from them chasing payment and threatening legal action. the last one was last night but I was out. Next time they phone I am going to demand recompense for the number of calls I have had to make (I know it is a waste of breath but it might make me feel better).

One of the problems is that they requested an email confirming cancellation, which was duly sent. They did not read/action it until a week later which was after their cut off day so they claim I am outstanding a payment.

I would strongly suggest that it would be advisable to avoid these scheisters like the plague.

When you have Sky, you have to deal with Setanta separately, the benefit of virgin cable now is that it is all done through them and you don't have to deal with Setanta at all.

When I was on Sky in 07 and cancelled Setanta I had the same problems as everyone else, i.e. zillions of phone calls for ages, even though I told them I was going to china!!

In the end, as soon as I answered the phone and they mentioned Setanta, I went on the offensive and politely asked for their personal details, full name, personal phone number etc etc so that "I could get the exact details correct when I take the company to court for harrassment".

The calls stopped soon after!

Half the problem is that it's not the fault of the people phoning, I'm guessing they just come to work and get given a list of names and numbers to try and persuade people not to cancel, they probably don't know that they are the tenth person to make the same call!
