My new irons are great but i hit the sand wedge the same as my 54deg vokey wedge and i went on the cobra site and the specs say its 54.5 deg haha so now 1 has to get the chop. What would you choose and i cant decide on performance as i hit the same maybe a tad further with my cobra sand iron.. so is it keep the vokey family together 50* 54* 60* or detroy and have 50* vokey 54* cobra sand 60* vokey help ? Hi Andy, Conventional wisdom would say ditch the Cobra and keep the matched set of Vokeys, and with regards to distance it shouldn't be a competition between 2 clubs when it gets to the sand wedge. The ideal scenario is that you have reasonable, consistent gaps between your clubs, for example 15 or so yards between your PW, GW(50), SW and Lob (60*). Normally having a matched set of wedges would help you achieve this. If, however you are more happy with your Cobra, you are more confident with approaches to the green, you are happy with your bunker play, and the distances you hit it fall in line with your other wedges, then that's the club for you. There's a bit of a common denominator on many of the threads, i.e. if it suits you then it's right for you!

Keep the vokey. I play Cobra CB's and have a gap wedge that is part of the set, will be replacing it with the new spin milled in the same deg when the new version hits the shops in November.

Are they bringing out a spin-milled gap wedge now? They don't currently do one do they. I can get you one out here but might not (er...definitely not) have seen the inside of a proper Titleist factory!!!

hmmm i took the vokey out because its quite old now and the cobra iron is rather new.. but i keep thinkin hmmm vokey wedge back in the bag would be nicer to have the set.. ooo i really cant decide.

New vokey spin milled are available from Nov 1st, 48*-64*
The new Vokey Spin Milled wedges go a step further by offering more choices - a full range of lofts from 48 to 64 degrees, low, mid, and full bounce sole options in many lofts, and three distinct non-glare finishes - to execute more shots from around the greens.

Just had a look, what an amazing choice. Cue many more threads about 'what should I have in the bag?' !!

Can't go wrong with the vokeys, many have tried to knock them out of my bag but none have been successful

Agree, love em. Currently have T Made wedges in the bag in public for contract purposes, but the Vokeys are the ones that get the mud on them!
